GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A new event bringing art and local fashion together is happening this month in Greenville.
The Greenville Museum of Art is hosting Fashion on Display on Thursday, August 30 at 6:00pm.
It’s a fashion show fundraiser for the museum which showcases the resources of clothing and accessory fashions in Pitt County.
The show will feature several local vendors and their collections including casual attire to formal wear.
GMOA development director, Jenna Leissner, says it’s a great representation of Greenville’s fashion-as-art culture.
“There are always events throughout the calendar year in Pitt County where each of the clothing items featured in Fashion on Display can be worn,” said Leissner.
Tickets for the event are $30 and available now. Click here to purchase tickets and learn more.
“As a Museum, we like to challenge people by expanding what they think art is or can be. I hope this event will allow others to see fashion as an expression of creativity and design work,” said Leissner.
The event committee hopes Fashion on Display will become an annual event and grow each year.
WNCT’s Maria Satira will serve as the emcee for Fashion on Display.
