Tune in: “The Passage” premieres Monday at 9 EST/PST on Fox. The series, based on Justin Cronin’s science fiction trilogy, features Mark-Paul Gosselaar as federal agent Brad Wolgast, who is tasked with bringing young Amy Bellafonte (Saniyya Sidney) to a medical facility as a test subject for a virus that could lead to either a cure for all diseases or the end of humanity.
Go to: M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass” opens nationwide on Friday. The film is a sequel to Shyamalan’s “Unbreakable” and “Split.” The original stars return, including Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and James McAvoy.
View: Halloween, the latest in the horror film franchise, is out Tuesday. USA TODAY’s Brian Truitt gave the film ★★★ out of four, saying it “ditches all of the franchise’s previous sequel mythology. … By staying true only to the initial narrative, this ‘Halloween’ solidly ranks as the best chapter since the first.”
Watch: Sundance Now and Shudder present the first season of “A Discovery of Witches” on Thursday. Based on author Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy, the series stars Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer.
Listen: Cher is hitting the road for Here We Go Again. Starting Jan. 19 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the singer will visit more than 30 cities across North America in support of her latest album, “Dancing Queen,” a collection of covers of ABBA songs. Stops include Atlanta, Detroit, Philadelphia, Boston and Milwaukee.
